As the Lead of WRI Africa’s Data Lab, I support the strategic development and implementation of geospatial and AI-enabled platforms such as Global Nature Watch, Global Forest Watch, Forest Atlases, Energy Access Explorer, Map Builder, Aqueduct, and Africa Cities Watch. I provide technical and programmatic leadership across multi-country initiatives, integrating AI, GIS, and cloud technologies like AWS and Esri to strengthen data-driven decision-making in forests, cities, and energy systems. With over 10 years of experience, I have led complex, multi-country projects in forest management, land-use planning, restoration, and energy access, ensuring strong monitoring and evaluation, stakeholder engagement, and donor reporting. Collaborating with WRI’s Global Data Lab and Engineering teams, I drive AI and data innovation across Africa, enhancing cross-office collaboration and the scalability of WRI’s digital and geospatial solutions
