Their primary role is that of a technical advisor, but their experience and understanding of operations make him a key member of the team, involved in the management of operations and, in particular, in overseeing security management during missions.TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES* As a member of the team, helps define objectives and operational strategy while ensuring technical and logistical feasibility. * He collaborates with the Cell Supply Referent to ensure the smooth operation of mission supply. * Oversees technical and logistical activities and ensures compliance with logistical fundamental. * Anticipates the logistical and technical challenges that missions may face. * Promotes and facilitates the implementation of technical activities aimed at improving the impact of medical programs on beneficiaries (EHA, distribution, construction, etc.) * Validates the technical aspects of the risk reduction policy. * He or she is responsible for ensuring the availability, implementation, and management of all necessary technical and logistical resources, as well as the associated human resources. He or she ensures compliance with non-medical technical policies and quality standards, as well as the availability and reliability of articles and systems. * In support of RP and ARP, contributes to the analysis, monitoring, and implementation of security and risk mitigation measures. * Defines the objectives for the emergency response pool’s logistics teams and assists with their recruitment. * Is responsible for defining EPREP logistics strategies in line with operational objectives, as well as for managing the MSF Logistics emergency stock in Bordeaux, Dubai, and Kampala.YOUR PROFILEEducation* High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training is a plus * Experience in technical project management and leadership * Extensive experience as a Logistics Coordinator, including several assignments in emergency situationsExperience* At least 3 years of experience working with MSF in logistics management or coordination roles. * Experience as a Head of Mission, field coordinator, or emergency coordinator is strongly recommended * Several successful experiences in OCG emergency logistics. * One or more experiences in the initial phases of missions or emergency projects. * Extensive knowledge of epidemic response mechanisms; population movements; and surgical and trauma care activities. * Mastery of MSF OCG tools. * Strong knowledge of MSF logistique. * Mastery of logistics fundamentals.Languages* English and French are the working languages of MSF Switzerland.
