ABOUT USDesired start date: 20/06/2026 Duration of the mission: 11 months (renewable) Location: YangonSOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian aid association which, since more than 40 years, has been providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by meeting their basic needs for food, water and shelter. Particularly committed to the fight against diseases linked to unsafe water, the leading cause of death in the world, SI's interventions provide expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and hygiene promotion, but also in the essential area of food security and livelihoods. Present in 26 countries, the SI teams – 3200 people in total, made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at HQ, and a few volunteers - intervene with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultural norms.ABOUT THE MISSIONMyanmar, all projects (funding from ECHO, UNOPS, UNICEF, MHF, FCDO, CDCS, CIAA-AAP, French Agence de l'Eau). Large volume of grants (9, regular ones) and impacts of fundraising dedicated to the Earthquake response (top-ups or 4 new grants), covering Rakhine, Kachin and the central part of the country. Participation to number of consortia of various international and national NGOs across bases.At mission level, 210 positions (with possibly 3 under your functional management)In coordination, 30 positions, including 4 in the Finance department.ABOUT THE JOBGeneral objective:The finance coordinator will direct and coordinate all accounting and financial services associated withthe mission.As coordinator, he/she is responsible for guaranteeing the financial balance of the mission and for ensuring that allSolidarités International procedures, donor procedures and all laws of the country in which Solidarités International isintervening are respected.He/she is the point of reference for the mission, and the link between headquarters and the mission for all mattersrelating to management, accounting and budget monitoring.The main challenges:Financial Coordination of a mission with several base/sub-bases including limited access / Financial sustainability of the mission in an ever changing donor dynamic.Priorities for the 2/3 first months:Financial reporting of the terminated Grants, proposal development, internal financial analysis.Responsibilities and main activities:Position based in Yangon - no specific security contrainsts.YOUR PROFILEEducation / academic background:Bachelor's Degree in related fieldExperience in the humanitarian sector : 3-4 yearsExperience on a similar position : 3-4 yearsSpecific skills and experience:TECHNICAL SKILLS1. Mater skills on Excel and accounting software (SAGA preferrable)2. Capacity to lead and design budget for new proposal in link with SI Nigeria mission strategy, donor compliance and team work3. Strong financial analytical skills required (monthly financial analysis are required)TRANSVERSAL SKILLS1. Ability to work udner pressure2. Patient, self-control and solution oriented3. Ability to render financial information accessible towards several audianceLanguage:1. Proficient in english2. Knowledge of any local language spoken in Myanmar being an assetSI WILL OFFER YOUA salaried position: According to experience, starting from EUR 2860 gross per month (2600 base salary + 10% annual leave allowance paid monthly) and a monthly Per Diem of USD 600.SI also covers accommodation costs and travel expenses between the expatriate's country of origin and the place of assignment.Breaks: During the assignment, a system of alternation between work and time off is implemented at the rate of 7 working days every three months (with a USD 850 break allowance, allocated by Sl). To these breaks periods, SI grants one (1) additional rest day per month worked.Insurance package: Expatriates benefit from an insurance package which refunds all healthcare expenses (including medical and surgical expenses, dental care and ophthalmological expenses, repatriation) and a welfare system including war risks. Essential vaccination and antimalarial treatment costs are refunded.LIVING CONDITIONS:The position will be based in Yangon with visits to field offices in Mandalay and Sittwe. In Yangon, living conditions are very good, all commodities can be found (supermarket, restaurant, live entertainement, sports clubs and gyms. There are no restrictions on transportation and expatriates usually walk or bike to the office. The position will be housed in the SI guesthouse clsoe to all amenities.Administrative Management (visa) is a constraints for some nationality with limited possibilites to exit the country.HOW TO APPLYDo you recognize yourself in this description?
