* Position Title: Women’s Empowerment Training Material Adaptation & Delivery Consultant * Level of Effort: 14-20 working days * Period of Performance: 4 weeks * Supervisor: Pathfinder Project Officer * Project: Improving Leadership and Employability of Underserved Populations in Jordan.BackgroundJordan faces one of the highest youth and female unemployment rates in the MENA region, compounded by prolonged economic pressures, climate vulnerability, and the continued impact of displacement and regional instability. Young people and women, particularly from refugee communities, remain disproportionately excluded from meaningful employment opportunities, despite their strong motivation to participate in the economy.In response to these challenges, Pathfinder International launched the Improving Leadership & Employability Among Underserved Populations in Jordan project, designed to strengthen employability, leadership, and economic resilience among youth and women, with a strong focus on green economy sectors aligned with the WEFE nexus (Water, Energy, Food, Environment). The project engages women trainees in topics ranging from gender roles to reproductive health using video profiles of Arab women who have become agents of change within their families and communities. As a result of the EWSO training, Egyptian women are now enjoying a more comprehensive understanding of social roles, self-esteem and self-confidence, decision making, safeguarding reproductive health, and social networks and social support. Thus, providing them with knowledge that empowers them to become voices of change in their communities.Primary Objectives of the ConsultancyThe primary objective of this consultancy is to adapt the existing EWSO training materials to the Jordanian context and deliver the Jordanian-WSO (JWSO) training directly to 16 women participants in Mafraq, strengthening their leadership, voice, and community engagement. The consultant will be responsible for the full cycle—from material adaptation to training delivery and reporting—without the need to train additional trainers.Scope of WorkThe consultant will:* Review and adapt the existing EWSO training package to reflect Jordanian language, terminology, cultural references, examples, case studies, and exercises. * Deliver training workshops to a small cohort of 15 women participants in Mafraq. * Ensure training content is engaging, culturally appropriate, and achieves the desired outcomes aligned with the project Monitoring & Evaluation framework and indicators. * Provide a brief final report summarising training outcomes, participant feedback, and recommendations for future sessions.Detailed Tasks – Subject to change based on needsTraining Material Adaptation (Estimated LOE: 8-10 working days)* Review the full existing EWSO training package. * Adapt language, terminology, and cultural references to the Jordanian context. * Update examples, case studies, and exercises to reflect local realities. * Incorporate one round of revisions/validation based on feedback.Training Delivery (Estimated LOE: 6-8 working days)* Prepare for training delivery (1-2 days). * Deliver training to one cohort of 16 women, duration: 3 full training days. * Conduct light daily adjustments to the training as and when needed (1 day). * Prepare a final report summarising the training outcomes (1-2 days).Overall Consultant LOE (Estimated LOE: 14-20 working days)* Training material adaptation: 8-12 days * Training delivery and related tasks: 6-8 days * Total estimated LOE: 14-20 working daysDeliverables & OutputsPlease note that all final outputs must be reviewed by the Pathfinder team. Submission of a final report summarising training outcomes, participant feedback, and recommendations for future sessions [LOE #2 days]Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience* 5-9 YEARS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. * Proven experience in training adaptation and delivery, preferably in women’s leadership, community engagement, or social empowerment programmes. * Strong understanding of Jordanian cultural and social context. * Proven experience supporting and empowering vulnerable populations, particularly women, through targeted programs or interventions. * Practical experience working within NGOs or INGOs, with familiarity in programme implementation and community engagement. * Experience with adult learning methodologies, participatory training approaches, and facilitation of small cohorts. * Excellent communication, presentation, and reporting skills. * Ability to deliver training in Arabic and work effectively with diverse women participantsHOW TO APPLYPlease submit all the following documents to Project Support Officer Madeline Hart at [email protected] by EOD 19/Mar/2026.1.
