SYCAC is pleased to announce the opening of applications for organizations, initiatives, and community groups to join the "Active Voices" project.The project aims to strengthen the role of displacement-affected communities and promote social cohesion by empowering community organizations and initiatives through capacity building, networking, and joint community action.About the ProjectThe project seeks to enhance the role of community organizations and initiatives and support them as active stakeholders contributing to peaceful coexistence.Selected entities will take part in a growth journey that includes:• Structured Training: Three thematic training modules (each lasting three days) held in different provinces, covering advocacy, leadership, and financial sustainability.• Peer Networking: Facilitated exchange events with Turkish civil society organizations.• Small Grants Opportunity: Eligibility to apply for grants of up to €2,000 to implement joint community initiatives.• Civil Society Exhibition: A high-level closing event in Gaziantep to showcase achievements.Eligibility CriteriaApplicants must meet the following core requirements:• A community entity or youth initiative working with displacement-affected communities in Türkiye.• Location: Operating in Gaziantep, Kilis, Hatay, Mardin, Şanlıurfa, Adana, Mersin, Kahramanmaraş, or Osmaniye.• Inclusion Focus: Commitment to promoting social cohesion and community resilience.• Safeguarding: The organization must have (or be willing to adopt) a written safeguarding policy to protect vulnerable groups.Selection PrioritiesApplications will be assessed based on:• Motivation: Strong interest in organizational development and cross-community collaboration.• Community Reach: Demonstrated ability to engage and influence refugee communities.• Youth Leadership: Focus on engaging youth activists and emerging leaders.• Inclusivity: Commitment to gender balance and representation of marginalized groups.Participation CommitmentsSelected entities are expected to:• Nominate representatives (preferably youth or emerging leaders) to attend all training modules.• Participate in coordination meetings and peer-learning sessions in their respective provinces.• Implement community initiatives funded by small grants under SYCAC supervision and support.HOW TO APPLYInterested entities must submit:• Introductory Profile: A brief description of the entity/initiative, its mission, and current activities.• Letter of Interest: Explaining why your organization wishes to join and how this aligns with your goals.• Official Documents: Relevant policies and documentation.• Information Sessions: Introductory meetings will be held in the five provinces to clarify the project framework and support mechanisms.Registration Link:https://ee.kobotoolbox.org/x/qZ50MFSqFor inquiries, please contact us at:[email protected]
