We work in countries across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, providing Health and Nutrition, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), Education and Livelihoods programming that creates the foundation for community resilience.About the OpportunityThis is a new, hands-on role within Relief International’s global IT function, created to build and embed practical AI capability across the organisation.You will design and deliver secure, responsible AI solutions – primarily using Microsoft Copilot and SharePoint based data – that help staff find information, answer policy and compliance questions, and produce high-quality draft documents more efficiently.Your ResponsibilitiesThis role includes the following key responsibilities:* Design, build and maintain AI assistants and Copilot agents using Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) over approved organizational documents * Prepare and structure SharePoint content to ensure accurate, reliable AI retrieval and clear document citation * Ensure all AI solutions respect information security, access permissions, and data protection requirements * Work with global teams across HR, Finance, Supply Chain and Programs to translate business needs into safe, usable AI tools * Develop guidance, training materials and documentation to support staff adoption and responsible use of AI * Monitor AI tool usage and quality, improving solutions based on feedback and operational needsAbout YouYou will bring the following experience and skills:* Practical experience building AI assistants or chatbots using organizational documents (e.g. SharePoint, file repositories) * Hands on experience with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including SharePoint, Teams and Copilot * Ability to work with large volumes of documents and make them suitable for AI retrieval * Understanding of identity, access controls and permission based information management * Experience delivering production grade digital tools used by non-technical staff * Confidence explaining technical concepts clearly and supporting users in adopting new tools * Comfort working in a globally distributed, remote organization * Experience with Azure AI/Search services, data protection or humanitarian environments is desirable but not essential.Research shows that women and people of colour are less likely to apply unless they meet every requirement.
